I'm a freelance sports writer who lives on Antietam Creek in Washington County, Md. with my wife Dr. Jennifer Mettlen, our amazing daughter, Violet and two lovable, shaggy dogs, Turk and Ernie.
I cover all kinds of sports at almost every level and specialize in features and enterprise. Until recently I was the Digital Content Coordinator for The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, Va., managing the website, social media and other digital efforts for The DP and its sister papers.
